Laura and her husband Joel are one of the seven founding families of Wellspring. She has been the administrative assistant since 2017. However, she has volunteered in many areas since its beginning: children’s ministry, nursery, drama team, cleaning, and women’s ministry. She is currently still active in the nursery and women’s ministry. In addition to Wellspring, Laura works as a private tutor. She earned a B.S. degree in elementary education from Lander University in 1992. She and Joel are enjoying an “empty nest.” They have two remarkable adult children, Drake Smith and Anna Gray Smith.
