Committed to christ and to his people

Our elders, staff leaders, and volunteers work faithfully to lead, govern, love, and provide for the Wellspring church body, upholding Christ as the perfect example of leadership and service.

Born and raised in Davidson County, Dan became a follower of Christ in his early twenties. He served for years in youth ministry and other leadership positions in established churches and church plants throughout the Triad. In 2000, the Shoaf family and six other families started Wellspring and have been passionately serving the Lord and this fellowship ever since. Every weekend, Dan brings robust and insightful truth from God's Word with heartfelt compassion, vibrant enthusiasm, all in a laid-back style with his trademark humor. He regularly leads small groups, provides counseling to numerous people and couples, and is always willing to answer any questions about faith, church, relationships, or deer hunting! He holds a BA in Sociology from Greensboro College and has completed studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alongside him in ministry is his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.
